*ATTENTION - UPDATED INFORMATION** Forest Grove School will be serving breakfast and lunch, Mon-Thurs, during the mandated school closure. We will have a “drive thru” set up at the west end of the cafeteria building. Parents will drive up, remain in their vehicle, and meals will be served through your vehicle window. MEALS WILL BE SERVED FROM 8:00-10:00. SERVING WILL END PROMPTLY AT 10:00. Every order will include both BREAKFAST AND lunch. We will serve any child, 18 yrs and younger. We do not want to prepare food and have to throw it away because we over prepared. To avoid waste, we will carry out serving our students in the following way. Parents must call in their “order” between 8:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. THE DAY BEFORE. Monday orders must be called in on Thursday the week prior. Example: You will call in and say “This is Deena Smith. I will pick up meals for my 2 kids tomorrow”. You may also say “I will pick up meals for my kids every day this week”. Be assured that we have tried to come up with the best way to carry out this process most efficiently. There may be kinks to work out along the way. Nothing is more important to us than the health of our students and their families! Please be patient as we all learn together through this process.

The Oklahoma State Board of Education just announced that all Oklahoma schools will be closed beginning tomorrow, March 17th through April 6th due to COVID 19. We want you to know that we have been actively preparing for this scenario for the past several days. We were prepared to make this decision even if it was not mandated. Our custodial staff have been at school ultra sanitizing and disinfecting our school for whenever we do return. We have applied for a waiver to provide meals to students for the upcoming weeks. Our cafeteria staff are working to plan meals and order food to carry this out. We will be working with our teachers to develop resources for students to continue learning at home, electronically or otherwise. We have the technology available to support any/all students who need an electronic device. We will do our very best to communicate decisions and resources to our families as quickly as possible. Please trust that we are making the very best decisions that we know how to based on the information that is available. There may be mistakes made along the way, but this is uncharted territory, so all we can do is the best we know how at the moment. All we are certain of is that the health and safety of our students and staff is the most important priority to us! We will send updates as they occur through our school messaging system, Facebook page and school website. We love you all and pray you will be well! Please give your kiddos hugs from us! Mr. and Mrs. Smith
